Who we are
A Ghanaian NGO built around access.
How we began
Ziora Foundation is a registered Ghanaian non-governmental organisation, founded by a practising clinician at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital — Ghana's largest national referral centre. The work began in 2025, with our first community programmes delivered ahead of formal registration in March 2026.
Why we exist
The communities most in need of healthcare are consistently the last to receive it. We take our services directly to schools, churches, and rural communities — removing the distance, cost, and stigma that keep people from accessing care.
Our three health arms — maternal & child health, dental health, and mental health — reflect the three most underprovided areas of community healthcare in Ghana.
How we work
- Clinician-led. Each programme is led by qualified clinicians.
- Community-based. We deliver through the institutions our beneficiaries already trust — their schools, churches, and community organisations.
- Free at the point of care. Cost is never a barrier to the people we serve.
"Prevention is always possible. What is not yet equal is access to the services that make it real."
— Nii Okai Yartey, Founder & Executive Lead
