The screening day, up close
We delivered free dental and general health screening to approximately 200 members of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) in Accra. The day combined basic dental checks, oral health education, blood pressure and finger-prick screening, and referrals for anyone who needed further care.
It was also a proof of concept: faith-based community platforms can be trusted, effective delivery channels for preventive health services. People came because their church invited them — and left with a clearer picture of their health and a path to follow up.
